At age 49 I became the oldest TV survivor second Finalist - What does it take to win under difficult circumstances?
It is certainly not luck, neither being in top shape - it is rather my mindset -imagining from the very beginning of the game that I will be among the three last survivors on the Island in the Philippines.
My life is not as glamorous as what you see on this cover, I have done many covers just like this one during my life only to realize that one moment after shooting this cover your reality changes into something else.
Let me explain, over the years I have met many people who were caught up with my titles and achievements, while I felt emotionally and spiritually quiet isolated very far from the media image people saw in me.
My personal path has taught me that the mind, body, and feelings are part of the holistic view of health and happiness. As a younger girl I was pretty much caught up with my appearance, and what I then defined as Health. Dieting and nutrition were the major part of my focus, and while studying and practicing the vegan diet I always came to this one place - my health was not getting much better and I was not happier.
Only then I started discovering the hidden power of the subconscious and the law of attraction.
Here is a little background about myself - while still in my 20's, I have had my share of struggling with weight- loss and maintaining a positive self-image. If you read some of my earlier posts you probably know by now that I am a former Miss Israel and a former model - so looking slim and attractive was always part of my lifestyle, and while this was part of the basic requirements of a model I had a secret personal challenge which I kept away from the public.
I was suffering from Eating Disorders which made my weight fluctuates -a true killer for someone who makes a living out of a perfect slim figure. When you eat out of fear or stress nothing can stop you. That inner force takes over your logic, and body driving you to a place where you squander your sanity into the state of chaos.
Over the years I have done lots of inner work learning how to connect with my emotions, acknowledge their existence, and give them proper loving attention. I have also changed my diet to a mostly Vegan diet with lots of natural Alkaline foods, fresh vegetables, and Super-foods concentrated with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. The shift from a SAD to a mostly vegan diet helped me create a healthy mind, lose weight, and get a sense of deep well being.
When we feed our bodies with concentrated Superfoods we are not as Hungry.
Here is one surprising thing you must do to stay young and healthy- keep feeding your inner being- this is our "body" without its physical dimension. When you are meditating and connecting to your inner voice it is so much easier to be "good" to yourself. This is being translated to - eating better, exercising, and taking overall good care of your mind-body.
Anti-aging is about maintaining this lifestyle and creating good habits for yourself. If you are a mother just like me, you will see how important this is -our children learn from us good or bad habits, so let it be GOOD.
I use Superfoods to help maintain a healthy weight and to eliminate my cravings. I find that when having daily shakes and Juices I am less hungry, more satisfied while feeling, and looking years younger. Sure it is great to use all my Wellness products but without a healthy lifestyle, they are almost worthless.
I advocate living a healthy balanced lifestyle and at the same time using all the super products out there that help us look fabulous, why not?.
But before we part here let me share with you that life is a journey with ups and downs, we do not achieve a Plato of greatness and stay there forever. There are ups and downs but overall there is a great improvement, and the downs are lesser with time. Having acquired the good habits and the skills help to bounce back faster and regain that state of wellbeing. You are not alone on that journey, let me partner with you.
Much Love
Leora
